Propeller Health now has a connected inhaler. This FDA cleared mobile application and IoT device helps patients, physicians and public health agencies systematically manage COPD, Asthma, and other respiratory diseases in real-time. 
The propeller sensor is a small device that easily fits to most inhalers. It wirelessly syncs with your smart phone so that you’re phone automatically captures and records your trends of usage including the time, date, and location of when you use your inhaler. This data can then be shared with your physician because revealing when and where an inhaler is used provides valuable insight about how your symptoms or attacks are occurring and the environmental exposures that cause the attacks.
Additionally, the connected inhaler is using data that comes from your Fitbit to find out your health context. It’s using data from the Weather Network to find out what the conditions are outside based off of your GPS location. The app can tell you whether there’s a lot of allergens or air pollutants in the air. All of this 
information comes together to deliver helpful information to the consumer on whether or not their asthma problem might be elevated today or if it’s going to be a little bit more benign. This data is really important things in terms of managing our health moving forward and by federating that data and unlocking it from these applications, we’re going to find new benefits that we can serve consumers with.
