Myo Gesture armband that can control systems and appliances

Myo motion control and gesture control armband bracelet uses arm muscle activity and EMG signals to control digital devices over Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy.

The Myo armband offers a new way for people to interact with smartphones, tablets, and computers…

The Myo armband gives you intuitive control of your audience’s experience. Lighter than most men’s wristwatches, it lets you magically move slides from under your shirt or roll your sleeves up to make a statement.

Led by mechatronics engineers Stephen Lake, Matthew Bailey, and Aaron Grant, team of engineers, researchers and designers build the future of human-computer interaction.

It is closing the gap between humans and technology by solving a fundamental question: How do we connect the real and the digital worlds as we move towards wearable and ubiquitous computing?

Myo armband is made of a flexible, durable elastomer similar to that used in many wearable wristbands. The sensors are made of stainless steel and contain trace amounts of nickel.

Myo allows Touch-free control, simply wave left or right to move backward or forward through your slides, and get your hands in your presentations with the Myo armband.

The Myo armband uses Bluetooth Smart technology to connect to the presentation software you already use: Microsoft Powerpoint, Apple Keynote, and Adobe Acrobat.
