The company recently announced a new version of its SeaBird submarine .This unique submarine doesn’t rely on an engine in order to move through water. It is attached to a boat on the surface via a 400 feet long cable and is towed towards where it wants to go. This innovative tow system aims to offers the power of an internal combustion engine to an underwater vessel.
The submarine is powered by a rechargeable battery pack which turns a series of electric motors, removing the necessity for fuel.
The submarine can travel up to speeds of 22 knots, which equates to 25mph or 40kh, both on top and under the water’s surface. The SeaBird can be reduced to a depth of more than 150 feet.
The new submarine claims that it can stay for 24-72 hours under sea thus allowing you to escape the dry lands for a few days and spend it down with the sea-life.
Since it does not rely on its own engine for working, it can travel at speeds over 40 miles per hour which makes it faster than any other personal submersible available.
The SeaBird is able to seat two passengers and has features such as positive buoyancy which lets it float to the surface when the towing vessel stops or is discontinued from the SeaBird.
The submarine is also capable of performing rapid 360-degree rolls and can dive steeper than most roller coasters, zooming through the water to give you an exiting time.
