A team from Netherlands decided to develop a wearable, that will make the snorer turn to its side, as soon as the snoring starts.
Research has shown that 70% of the snorers only snore, when they are sleeping on their back. Developers of the device decided to develop a wearable, that will make the snorer turn to its side, as soon as the snoring starts.
Turning to your side opens your airway and stops the snoring. The Anti-Snore Wearable is controlled by the Do I Snore smartphone application. This smartphone app detects snoring sounds and sends a signal to the wearable as soon as the snoring starts. The wearable gently vibrates, making the snorer adjust its sleeping position.
Put the Anti-Snore Wearable on one of your arms.
Start the Do I Snore app, and connect the wearable.
Connect your phone to its power source, and place it on your night stand.
Anti-Snore Wearable is a band that wraps around a wearer’s arm. It vibrates whenever its companion iOS / Android app detects snoring in an effort to coax a person into turning over to his or her side.
The band doesn’t have a microphone inside, but pairs with a user’s phone over Bluetooth. The downside of that pairing is a sleeper has to keep their phone near their bed all night, which some people might not be into. The app apparently relies on an algorithm to determine whether a sound is a snore or something else, like a car alarm. It also tracks sleep and snoring to try and optimize bedtime.
Ultimately, buying into the Anti-Snore Wearable comes down to whether you want to wear a band around your arm all night and whether you think your phone and this company’s app can truly tell when you’re snoring.
