A horizontal shower provides, for the first time, a reclining shower experience.
Imagine if you could extend your nap time by a precious 10 minutes or so when you wake up. Most of us can barely muster the energy to get out of bed and go into the shower in the morning. German company Dornbracht has actually made this possible by creating a device called the Horizontal Shower which washes you while you are lying down.
The shower looks like a tanning bed mounted to the wall with an array of showerheads controlled by the Ambiance Tuning system. It consists of a pair of stone slabs mounted on a wall, one over the other like large oversized shelves. You have to lay down on the lower shelf.
Underneath the upper shelf are six “bars jets” that spray water all over you with a tool which acts as a main controlling element that allows selection of balancing, energizing or de-stressing effects.
There are the standard controls for water temperature, intensity and quantity. Sound and lighting effects have also been embedded into the shelves as programmable features to enhance the showering experience.
The horizontal shower offers a perfect solution to people who would like to enjoy all the benefits of enjoying a luxurious horizontal bath.
