Though most individuals connect their phones to a wired charger, the charging landscape may soon change as companies such as Powermat Technologies Ltd., a developer of wireless power solutions for consumers, act as pioneers in the field.
Wireless power, also known as inductive coupling and is based on magnets. The Powermat, is the first, perhaps, of many wireless chargers for hi tech gadgets. How does it work? You simply place your gadget on the mat to charge it.
The charger uses magnetic induction energy rather than electricity to charge the devices and it works just as fast as the standard power adapters. It can also charge multiple and different gadgets all at the same time. Powermat charges your devices just as fast as a cord, while being conveniently within reach.
The Powermat Ring needs to be plugged into your phone and placed on a Powermat which will then wirelessly recharge your battery.
It uses the narrow magnetic fields that naturally occur when electrical current move through the wires and starts creating a circular magnetic field around the electrical wire where a hidden coil amplifies the magnetic field. The receiving device which is the Powermat Ring has a hidden coil which receives the created energy, thereby transferring the power wirelessly.
The Ring comes in multiple colors and fits all Android and iPhone mobile devices.
This concept the same as wired charging but it is easier and more convenient.
