Tiny1 is the smallest, and arguably one of the smartest and most social astronomy cameras.
Created by Grey Tan, Tiny1 allows you to capture the starry night sky and share photos in the palm of your hands.
The device includes an interactive star map to easily locate and shoot celestial objects. Augmented Reality Star Maps guide users to the stars and constellations. The map shows a user stars and constellations in real time and has a search function as well. Capture presets automatically configure your camera settings to capture the cosmos in the best light.
Tiny1 is designed to be social as well. Pictures can be shared over Wifi when the device is paired with a smartphone. Wifi can also be used to help control the device and reduce shakiness. Tiny1 is compatible with every lens out there, and even telescopes. The companion app also alerts users on the latest celestial events and local star parties
Tiny1 includes many technologies including a back illuminated sensor to convert light to signal faster. It features a patent pending built-in noise reduction algorithm that self-calibrates and reduces noise effectively. It is created out of aluminum to reduce thermal noise.
The camera can be purchased from Indiegogo along with a wide angle kit lens for $449 before retail pricing begins.
