AWS DeepRacer Championship Cup

AWS DeepRacer is an autonomous 1/18th scale race car designed to test RL models by racing on a physical track. Using cameras to view the track and a reinforcement model to control throttle and steering, the car shows how a model trained in a simulated environment can be transferred to real-world.

AWS DeepRacer League at re:Invent 2020Race at AWS re:Invent online via the DeepRacer console.

Developers of all skill levels can join the AWS DeepRacer League to put your machine learning skills to the test from anywhere in the world. The 2020 regular season is officially over, but you can still compete now through December 31, 2020 for your chance to win one of fifteen AWS DeepRacer Evo devices via the re:Invent Open race. Starting December 7, tune in via re:Invent to see who takes home the AWS DeepRacer League Championship Cup on DeepRacer TV!

AWS re:Invent registration is free and now open to all. Sign up for exclusive access to three all new AWS DeepRacer educational sessions as well as chances to compete in special races for attendees. As an added bonus to re:Invent attendees, starting Dec 1, 2020 through Dec. 31, 2020 we’re reducing the cost of training and evaluation for AWS DeepRacer by over 70% (from $3.50 to $1).

Save the date! Starting Jan. 12 we will be sharing over 200 new sessions on the virtual platform—and remember, you can still view all the content from 2020.Log In to View New Sessions

prizes and glory

Welcome to the world’s first global autonomous racing league, driven by machine learning. Developers of all skill levels can compete in virtual races during re:Invent for a chance to win prizes and glory! Tune in to AWS DeepRacer TV throughout re:Invent to catch the championship action.

Get rolling with machine learning on AWS DeepRacer

Get hands-on with AWS DeepRacer, including exciting announcements and enhancements coming to the league in 2021. Learn about the basics of machine learning and reinforcement learning (a machine learning technique ideal for autonomous driving). In this session, you can build a reinforcement learning model and submit that model to the AWS DeepRacer League for a chance to win prizes and glory.

Shift your machine learning model into overdrive with AWS DeepRacer analysis tools

Make your way from the middle of the pack to the top of the AWS DeepRacer podium! This session extends your machine learning skills by exploring how human analysis of reinforcement learning through logs will improve your performance through trend identification and optimization to better prepare for new racing divisions coming to the league in 2021.

Replicate AWS DeepRacer architecture to conquer the track with SageMaker

Complete the final lap on your machine learning journey by demystifying the underlying architecture of AWS DeepRacer using Amazon SageMaker, AWS RoboMaker, and Amazon Kinesis Video Streams. Dive into SageMaker notebooks to learn how others have applied the skills acquired through AWS DeepRacer to real-world use cases and how you can apply your reinforcement learning models to relevant use cases.

Catch the action live at re:Invent

112 of the world’s fastest developers converge at re:Invent to compete for the Championship Cup.
