Papondu, the vegetable alternative that replaces the egg in your recipes
The idea for Papondu was born in 2017, when Philippine and Sheryline, two engineer biologists, asked people who adopted a vegan diet what they lacked. The answer was clear: it’s the eggs! They have also become aware of the number of people who are intolerant or allergic to eggs and have taken on the challenge of developing a plant-based egg substitute.
Philippine Soulères and Sheryline Thavisouk conceived Les Merveilloeufs in 2017 for a class project. The duo were biology students at Paris’ Ecole de Biologie Industrielle.
The Papondu is not yet available for sale because the team wants to improve its recipe before offering it to gourmets! However, we aim to offer you the Papondu from the start of 2021.
The plant-based egg’s name combines two French words “’merveilleux” and “oeufs,” which mean marvelous and eggs, respectively.
