The BoomBottle uses a compact, bike-friendly Bluetooth speaker that repels water.
The Scosche BoomBottle made of waterproof housing along with a thermoplastic polyurethane construction can take even the roughest of mountain treks.
It is designed to fit in the bottle holder of your bicycle and with its rugged rubberized look claims to be tough as nails.
The speaker connects to your phone or iPod via Bluetooth and the battery lasts for up to 10 hours.
There are plenty of water-resistant, portable Bluetooth speakers on the market, but few are outright waterproof like the Scosche BoomBottle H2O. The bottle is not merely water resistant but is waterproof and can be submerged up to 3.2 feet underwater for up to 30 minutes before it runs into trouble.
Available in a variety of colours, the BoomBottles has a cylindrical, rubberized exterior which measures 4.5 inches tall with a 2.8-inch diameter and is designed to fit into most cup and bottle holders.
The side of the speaker holds rubberized controls for Volume, Play/Pause/Pairing along with a snap-shut cover that protects the micro USB charging port and 3.5mm audio input from the elements.
The speaker ships with a carabiner, which hooks onto a loop near the speaker grille. A USB charging cable is included but no dedicated wall plug adapter or 3.5mm cable.
Pairing the BoomBottle H2O with an iPhone 5s is a quick, and simple process. The speaker’s battery life at roughly 11 hours but results vary depending on how loudly one plays their tunes.
Depending on the volume levels, the speaker can sound wildly different in terms of bass response.
This speaker is only intended for use outdoors and so this product is well-suited for picnics or other open air activities.
