Walli: The Smart Wallet

Thousands of individuals lose or forget their wallet each day.

Walli, a new smart wallet, is designed to target just that. The wallet connects to your phone via Bluetooth and notifies you when you leave it behind. It also sends a notification if a card or even your phone is left behind.

The Walli app continuously monitors your wallet. As soon as you are too far away from your wallet, the app sends you a notification. If a user misses these notifications, Walli has the ability to track the last known location of the wallet to aid the user in finding their belongings.

Walli also monitors the pocket you use the most in the wallet and can send a signal to your phone when your credit card or ID is missing for too long. Through the app, a user can set a timer after which this signal is sent.

The app also includes a “Find Walli” feature. Simply press a button on the app and if the wallet is in close proximity, it will begin to ring. Conversely, if a user is unable to find his or her phone and the phone is within 100 feet, a double tap on Walli will set an alarm on the user’s phone even if it’s on silent mode.

Interestingly enough, Walli does not need to be charged. The single coin cell battery on which it operates lasts up to 6 months and can be replaced very easily.

The wallet itself is made of leather and is both dust-proof and water splash proof. It includes 6 slots for credit cards/ID and 2 pockets for cash. Card holders are also available to fit into the wallet.

The product is currently available on Kickstarter for $89.
